How we decide
After 20 years running complex flotillas, we accept candidates we’re confident will pass and work 5+ weeks their first season. The most common reason for not being accepted is insufficient recent yacht-handling experience.
Not sure you got enough experience?
Add 1 week of hands on Sailing and Docking experience with Sailing Academy.

Pay & Progression
When you start working your first 2 weeks include a €200/week repayment of the subsidised academy cost. If you prefer you may pay the full price of €1300 and get paid €600 weekly from the start.
Pay: Weeks 1–2: €400/week, Rest of first summer: €600/week (weeks 3–10)
On-board living is covered while on assignment.
It varies by your availability, demand, and performance. Many students work ~5–7 weeks their first season. Some choose 2–3 weeks (if you got other jobs/holidays). Top performers with wide availability have done up to 10 weeks.
Why will I only get €400 per week my first to weeks of work?
Why don’t you charge €1300 instead of the €900?
How much will I earn my first season?
